Callington Cricket Club

Welcome to Callington Cricket Club's Official Website

Clive Rosevear Insurance Hawkey Cup Winners 2015

Located on the lower slopes of Kit Hill in East Cornwall, Callington Cricket Club has a proud history in Cornish cricket, having been established for over 130 years. In 2013 we renamed our main New Road ground, Moores Park, in memory of our late skipper and Club Chairman Peter Moores.

The Club fields 3 senior teams in the Cornwall Cricket League as well as an Evening League side. The first XI are back in the Premier League for 2018 having replaced Helston in February when they requested to withdraw.#. The third team will play some Saturday home games in 2017 at Launceston CC.  Youth cricket is extremely important to us and our Youth Academy, under Head Coach Alex Robinson, fields under 11, 13 and 15 sides, and the Chance to Shine programme, with youth training on Friday evenings during the cricket season. We also cherish our relationship with the neighbouring Callington Primary School, who use our main ground for school events.

We are an ECB Focus Club with Clubmark status, and enjoy close ties with our local community. Being within 250 yards of the Town Centre, the Club enjoys a vibrant social side, and is open throughout the year, with live music nights, and Sky TV, as well darts, euchre and skittles teams playing in the local leagues. A number of local organisations use our pavilion for meetings, including Callington Lions Club and the Callington Diabetics Society.

So why not check out Callington Cricket Club?  We are always keen to welcome new playing and social members, so just ask the barperson for a membership form. It’s only £5.00 pa to become a social member. We look forward to meeting you
