Callington CC
Welcome to the Callington Cricket Club Website.
Moores Park is the home of Callington Cricket Club, situated within 200 yards of the town centre and providing a social and sporting focal point for the benefit of the Callington community. The Club puts out 4 senior teams under the captaincy of Matt Robins, Simon Riddle, Steve Wyatt and Ian Hunn respectively. The first X1 includes 4 members of the Cornwall County side who are the 2012 Minor Counties Champions. Callington finished 3rd in the Cornwall Premier Division in 2012.
The Club is also very proud of its thriving Youth Academy with qualified coaches for the Under 11, 13 ad 15 sides that represent the Club under the guidance of Andrew Jones. The club also has an Evening League side who play in the Tamar Evening League Division A on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer and for 2013 there will be a number of Sunday friendlies giving our increasing number of younger cricketers the opportunity to play with players from accross all teams.
The social aspect of the Club is also very important with regular live music functions, special events and darts, pool and euchre teams ensuring midweek fun and entertainment. The Club enjoys a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and new members are cordially invited and welcomed, so whether you want to enter into the rigours of competitive cricket, or just relax with a drink on the patio and take in one of the best views in the area, Callington Cricket Club is for you.
We are an extremely friendly club and welcome anyone wishing to become a playing or social member of the club.
